SOME HOT TRENDS AT THE CES THIS YEAR

You’ve probably heard about UHD or ‘4K’ TV’s — just beautiful to watch. 4K TV's offer 4 times the resolution and clarity of Full High Def TV’s. Then the typical problem: no 4K content to play on that beautiful 4K TV. Well, starting next month, and for the first time, you’ll be able to watch UHD movies directly from physical UHD Blu-ray discs on Samsung’s Ultra HD Blu-ray Player.

This next-gen UHD Blu-ray player offers 4 times the resolution and 64 times higher color expression than standard Blu-ray players. The picture is so realistic, you’re seeing exactly what the director intended.

And, you can stream content from your favorite services through this player, and watch your existing DVD and Blu-ray collection in near UHD quality thanks to upscaling technology.

CES GIVES US A GLIMPSE OF THE FUTURE

In the future, new technologies may have the biggest impact on the way we drive. This week Kia is launching its new DRIVE WISE sub-brand for autonomous driving technologies, which means cars that drive themselves. Kia is making a $2 billion investment by 2018 to develop next-generation of intelligent vehicles to develop a new Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS). We’ve heard about cars that drive themselves, well Kia plans to introduce partially-autonomous driving technologies by 2020, and fully-autonomous driving technologies by 2030.

SOME OF THE COOL NEW SMART-HOME TECHNOLOGIES BEING INTRODUCED

There are a lot of new technologies being offered in the smart-home arena. One major area where we will see new technology is the kitchen. The new Samsung Family Hub Refrigerator. What’s really cool about it is that it that the fridge is connected so you can do online grocery shopping, manage recipes and make shopping lists and stream music. It features 3 high quality camera inside of it in order to let you get a peek inside, even if you’re at the store! It also has a built-in 21.5 inch full HD LCD resolution screen on the outside that can be used as a digital command center.
