NEW PRODUCTS IN HOME THEATER
IMG_0782This year at CES Samsung has introduced their new HW-J8500 Curved Soundbar. Not only is the curved design aesthetically pleasing against a curved TV, but it delivers a fully immersive sound experience and enhanced sound quality with its 9.1 channel speakers, thanks to a central speaker and additional side speakers situated at both ends. This will further intensify the immersive experience of the Samsung Curved TV by delivering a wider sense of surround-sound for the user.  Samsung’s HW-J8500 Curved Soundbar is integrated within Samsung’s larger ecosystem, allowing users to easily enjoy music throughout the house and pair with other audio products within the ecosystem. The soundbar also “pairs” with the TV to mount against the wall without the need to drill holes. Samsung introduced FOUR new curved soundbars at CES, compatible with Samsung’s Curved TVs of various sizes from 45- to 78-inches.

IMG_0775It seems like every year we make great advances in audio. This year, it’s Audio-Technica’s new SonicSport in-ear headphones that are sweat-proof and washable, and come in three “find your fit” options.  First, there’s the hinged ear hook. Second, an earpiece that mirrors the hollow of the ear, and the third option is a flexible memory cable that bends to loop over the ear.  These SonicSport models have different size ear tips, for best fit and best sound, plus different sized ridged ear tips that allow the user to hear ambient noise (like traffic) for safer use outdoors.
