NUMBER ONE SECRET FOR SPICING UP A COOKOUT

Lately, everyone is turning towards food with natural, wholesome ingredients, which is very important. Once you’re finished firing up the grill, your next step is to accent the plate with some colorful condiments, such as a high-quality pickle or relish. Not all pickles are created equally and I just discovered Farmer’s Garden by Vlasic.  It’s a new line of premium pickles that provide a fresh-from-the-farm flavor and crunch. The mason-style jar really reminds me of how my grandma used to pickle vegetables. Farmer’s Garden by Vlasic can be used in a variety of ways as it has inclusions of other vegetables, like crunchy carrots, red peppers, fresh garlic and other spices. Simple touches like this can make a big difference in the way your guests feel about the meal as a whole.

Another great thing about these pickles is the variety – the Zesty Garlic Chips and Bread & Butter Chips make for tremendous sandwich toppers. The fresh-from-the-farm ingredients  really lead to a better tasting pickle, and 50,000 consumers agree.  These pickles were voted Product of the Year in the vegetable category and they aren’t wrong- you definitely need to try these.

FAVORITE OUTDOOR FOODS

I believe that nothing says summer like a great-tasting hot dog straight off the grill, and I have a great suggestion.  Ball Park has come out with Lean Franks in either beef or pork. They’re my NEW favorite – because these Ballpark Lean Franks are made with 100 percent beef and pork that contain fewer calories and fat while still giving you that meaty, juicy, classic taste of a Ball Park hotdog.

I love the Chicago dogs, which would go great with Vlasic Pickles or a little relish, salsa, onions and even sauerkraut.

BACKYARD RECIPES THAT WILL SURPRISE

Garlic and Herb Tofu Kebabs are my dish for the summer.  Create this wonderful marinade out of parsley, oregano, thyme, rosemary, three cloves of garlic and a lime.  I like to get Wildwood Vacuum Pack High Protein Tofu in the 20-ounce package and chop it into squares. It is extra firm and well-pressed. Then slice your bell papers, red onions dab on some olive oil, a little sea salt, fresh pepper.  Grill for 8-10 minutes.  Delicious!

The marinade gives it a wonderful sweet and spicy garlicky flavor, and like I said, quality Tofu is a must, which is why Wildwood Vacuum Packs are so good as they are certified organic and non-GMO verified.  Trust me when I say, this is good, and it’s good for you!

HOW DO YOU KEEP FROM STAINING THOSE CUTE SUMMER CLOTHES

A must have for keeping summer clothes stain free is Tide to Go Stain Erasers.  They’re individual wrapped, so you can take them anywhere.  The new formula has a powerful cleaning solution that break down stains while working along with a micro-fiber pad that lifts stains from fabrics.  It works especially well on grease stains like salad dressing, barbecue sauce, pasta sauce, even grape juice and ketchup.

It has color-safe bleach and it’s safe on most machine washable and dry clean fabrics.  Really, keep them handy to help with quick cleanup.
